BC HIGHLIGHTS
- Senior RHP John Gorman earned his fifth win in a five-inning relief appearance, allowing just one hit, one unearned run and striking out nine. He did not walk a batter and retired the final 14 he faced. With 201 career strikeouts, he is now sixth in BC record books, while his 70 appearances ranks eighth and his 231.0 career innings pitched is also sixth.
- Freshman Jake Palomaki led off the first with single, extending his on-base streak to 32 games. He also extended his career-long hit streak to six games.
- Sophomore Michael Stream was 2-for-3 with a double, tying for eighth in BC record books with 18 two-baggers on the season.
- Junior Logan Hoggarth was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI in the game. He has had a hit in the last three games and 12 of the last 16.
- Senior Blake Butera, who went 1-for-3 on the day, played in his 202nd game in Maroon and Gold, second in BC record books.
- Sophomore RHP Mike King started the game and threw four scoreless innings, allowed just three hits, no walks and struck out five.
- After the Hawks tied the game in the top of the fifth, the Eagles answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning to take a 3-1 lead.
- They added an insurance run in the sixth and Gorman retired the final 14 batters he faced to seal with victory for BC.
- The Eagles notched the first run of the game in the first inning. Palomaki led off with a base hit to left and moved to second on a chopper. Strem singled to put runners on the corners and junior Chris Shaw plated Palomaki with a grounder to short.
- The Hawks answered in the fifth with Gorman on the mound. TJ Ward reached on a high throw to first by Palomaki, moved to second on a sac bunt and to third on a wild pitch. Aaron Wilson bunted down the third-base line, scoring Ward and beating the throw to first. Gorman came back with a strikeout and grounder to get out of the inning.
- BC took the lead back in the bottom of the inning with new pitcher LHP Austin Barnes on the hill. Hoggarth led off with a single up the middle and sophomore Nick Sciortino walked to put two on. With one down, they both moved up on a double steal and Butera scored Hoggarth with a sac fly to left. Strem came through with a double to left to bring Sciortino home.
- The Eagles added a run in the sixth to make it a 4-1 game. Freshman Donovan Casey led off with a double down the left-field line off RHP Same McKay. Adams moves him to third on a sacrifice and Hoggarth laced one up the middle with two down to give the Eagles a three-run lead.

- Gorman and King combined for 14 strikeouts and did not walk a batter on the afternoon. It is the sixth time this season BC pitchers did not issue a walk in a game and the 14th time they tallied over 10 strikeouts. It is the third time both feats were completed in the same game.
- Shaw's hit streak ended at a career-long 17 games, which ranks third in BC record books, dating back to 2005. In that span, he 30 hits, including seven doubles and seven home runs, 15 runs and 22 RBIs. He was also walked nine times.
- Butera has now reached base 334 times in his career, which is third in BC record books. His 200 starts and his 754 career at bats are second in the BC ranks.
