- Junior Chris Shaw went 3-for-4 with a double and scored both BC runs. He extended his hit streak to 13 games.
- Senior LHP Nick Poore threw five scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and striking out three. He walked just one and retired 14 of the 16 batters he faced, including the final 13.
- Junior RHP John Nicklas struck out one in a 123 ninth, earning his third save of the season. It was the seventh of his career, which is sixth in BC record books.
- Freshman Jake Palomaki drew two walks in his first two at bats, extending his on-base streak to 13 games.
- Sophomore Michael Strem drew a walk in the eight and has reached base safely in the last 14 games.
KEY PLAYS
- The Eagles scored a run in the first and an insurance run in the seventh.
- Poore, redshirt sophomore RHP Luke Fernandes, junior LHP Jesse Adams and Nicklas combined to throw the Eagles' first shutout, allowing just two hits and two walks, while striking out five.
