- The Eagles got on the board in the third, scoring three runs. Sophomore Johnny Adams led off the inning with a single through the left side and with one down, Butera knocked a base hit up the middle to put two on. Cronin plated Palomaki with a single to left center. With two outs, Sciortino laced a double to right center to clear the bases and put BC up, 3-0.
- The Rams got one back in the fourth to cut the lead to two. They loaded the bases on two hit batsmen and an error. Matt O'Neil hit a sac fly to center to plate a run. Sciortino threw out a runner trying to take third for the second out and Stone ended the inning with a K.
- URI made it a one-run game in the eighth with junior RHP John Nicklas on the mound. With two down, he issued a walk and then surrendered a double off the wall in right center to O'Neil. Pinch runner Connor Foreman scored from first, but Nicklas came back to get a grounder to second to get out of the inning.
