· Freshman Donovan Casey recorded a hit in the fourth inning, extending his hit streak to a career-long four games.
· Freshman Jake Palomaki led the way for BC with a 2-for-4 afternoon. He has registered three multiple-hits games in 2015.
· Senior RHP Travis Ferrick record his first career inning as a pitcher, retiring the side in order in the eighth and tallying his first career strikeout.
KEY PLAYS
·Louisville jumped out early, taking a 2-0 lead in the first and building on it, adding four in the third to pull away.
· Cardinals starter Brendan McKay recorded a career-high nine strikeouts while allowing just three hits and one walk to keep the Eagles off the scoreboard.
HOW IT HAPPENED
·The Cardinals took an early 2-0 lead in the first as senior RHP John Gorman allowed three doubles in a row with one out. The righty finished the inning with a groundout and lineout.
· Louisville tacked on four more in the third as the Cardinals loaded the bases on two singles and a walk with one down. After Gorman forced a shallow fly, he gave up a two-run single to Colby Fitch to score two. Fitch advanced to second on the throw and Devin Hairston followed with a double to left take a 6-0 lead.
·The Cardinals loaded the bases again in the fourth with one out on a single, double and walk. McKay grounded out to first to score a run before a grounder to third got the Eagles out of the inning.
· Louisville added three more in the fifth off freshman RHP Brian Rapp to take a 10-0 lead. The Cards loaded the bases on a single, hit by pitch and a walk with one out. Nick Solak singled up the middle to score two and Corey Ray followed with a base hit to center to plate another run. Rapp got two fly balls to get out of the inning.
·The Cardinals scored a run in the sixth and two more in the seventh. After Rapp walked the lead-off hitter and redshirt junior Tyler Hinchliffe came into the game. He got two quick outs before giving up an RBI double to Mike White.
· In the seventh, Hinchliffe walked the first two batters he faced and gave up an RBI base hit to Jimmy Faul. Senior right fielder Nick Colucci assisted on the putout at second as Faul tried to stretch his hit into a double. Michael Bollmer grounded out to first to bring in the 13th run for the Cardinals.

· The Eagles were shutout for the second time in 2015. Florida State beat BC, 7-0, in a complete-game effort by Mike Compton on March 6.
· The Cardinals' 15 hits are the second most the Eagles allowed in 2015, after giving up 21 to No. 2 LSU on Feb. 21. The 13 runs are also second most to the Tigers' 16 on the same day.
