ACC-BIG 10 CHALLENGE
- The Eagles will travel to West Lafayette, Indiana to play (RV) Purdue on Thursday, Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge. It will be the fourth meeting between the two teams. Purdue has a 3-0 edge in the overall series.
- The two teams first played on Dec. 29, 1990. The Eagles lost, 101-76. In the second meeting, BC lost to Purdue at home on Dec. 3, 2000 (73-61). The last time the two teams played BC lost, 71-54, on Dec. 21, 2012.
- BC has not won a Challenge game since the 2010 season. That season BC defeated Penn State, 113-104, in overtime as former guard Jaclyn Thoman '10 had a career-high 25 points.
- Last year, Indiana defeated BC, 76-67, at Conte Forum. Boston College was led by Kelly Hughes with 10 points and eight rebounds while Nicole Boudreau had nine points, five rebounds and five assists. Indiana was led by Tyra Buss with 24 points.
- BC is now 2-5 in the challenge.
- The 2013 challenge pitted Boston College against Wisconsin for the second time in challenge history. The Eagles lost to the Badgers, 74-59, in Wisconsin on Dec. 5, 2013. Katie Zenevitch had 17 points and 10 rebounds in the loss. The two teams met in the 2011 season and the Eagles lost that game, 58-50. Again the BC was on the road for that match-up.
