Austen Burnikel scored in the 38th minute on a header to put Clemson ahead, 1-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Clemson took all 11 shots in the first half and Burnikel scored on the ninth attempt in the 38th minute. Iman Mafi sent a cross into the box from the left side and Burnikel put a header into the lower left corner to put the Tigers on top.
- BC tried to tally the equalizer early in the second half as senior Dylan Pritchard and sophomore Mohammed Moro both got shots on goal, but Clemson keeper Andrew Tarbell saved them both.
- The Tiger lead became two goals in the 57th minute thanks to a BC own goal.
- Clemson sealed the win in the 68th minute when John Cajka sent a through ball into the box to Kyle Murphy, who finished it from 12 yards out to seal the win.

Boston College, which ranks 16th in the country in RPI, awaits its NCAA Tournament fate. The 48-team field will be announced on Monday, November 16.
