BC TRAVELS TO #2 CLEMSON FOR ACC QUARTERFINALS
• Boston College will travel down to South Carolina for the second time in 16 days to take on #2 Clemson in the quarterfinals of the 2015 ACC Championship.
• Clemson won the first meeting between the sides back on October 23, 1-0, at Historic Riggs Field. An eighth minute goal was the difference in that match.
• Boston College, the #6 seed in the ACC Championship, defeated Syracuse last weekend, 2-1.
• The Tigers are the third seed in the tournament. They have won their last eight games, including a 4-1 victory at NC State in the regular-season finale. Clemson's only loss was a 1-0 decision at Notre Dame on September 12.
• Clemson holds a 6-3-4 record in the all-time series against the Eagles. BC is 0-4-3 against Clemson in the last seven meetings. The Eagles' last win came on October 9, 2009.
BC CAPS OFF REGULAR SEASON WITH WIN
• Freshman Simon Enstrom had a goal and an assist to lead Boston College to a 2-1 win against #12 Syracuse last Friday night at the Newton Campus Field.
• Freshman Trevor Davock scored the game's first goal in the 24th minute.
• The win gave Eagles' head coach Ed Kelly his 300th career victory. He is just the 19th active coach and the third in the ACC with 300 career coaching victories. Kelly's 300 wins rank 41st all-time among collegiate coaches.
• Senior Alex Kapp finished with four saves in his third win of the season.
• Boston College struck first in the 24th minute when senior Dylan Pritchard sent a long ball into the box. Enstrom took a couple of dribbles away from the defense and slid it through to Davock. He one-timed the ball into the far post for a 1-0 BC lead.
• The Eagles went up 2-0 after Syracuse goalkeeper Hendrik Hilpert misplayed a ball about 25 yards out of goal. Davock put the initial pressure on the keeper and the ball deflected to the foot of Enstrom. He took one touch and sent the ball to the far post from 27 yards out.
• Syracuse cut the lead to one goal in the 85th minute. After much pressure, Syracuse's Kama Miller scored from eight yards out off a long ball into the box by Liam Callahan. Miller sent a one-timer into the near post by a diving Kapp.
LAST TIME AT CLEMSON
• Clemson's Thales Moreno scored in the eighth minute and the Tigers held on for the 1-0 win at Historic Riggs Field on October 23.
• Moreno's strike came 7:01 after the opening whistle. Paul Clowes sent a pass into the middle of the box and Moreno finished it from just inside the 18-yard line to give Clemson the lead.
• Boston College took four of the next six shots but none of them were on target.
• Senior Alex Kapp then made a pair of saves two minutes apart at the 10-minute mark and sandwiched in between was an Iman Mafi attempt that hit the crossbar.
• BC took four shots in the second half, including an Isaac Normesinu shot in the 86th minute that had to be saved.
BC IN THE ACC TOURNAMENT
• Boston College is 8-7-1 all-time in the ACC Tournament and 1-0-1 against Clemson.
• The two teams played a scoreless draw the last time they met in the tournament which was also at Historic Riggs Field in 2012. The Tigers advanced on penalty kicks, 3-1.
• The Eagles have advanced to the semifinal round in five of the last seven tournaments they have qualified for.
• BC captured its first ACC Championship title in 2007 after earning the regular-season crown as well. It advanced to the title game in 2011 after winning at second-seeded Maryland and then beating third-seeded Duke.

• Senior Atobra Ampadu got his first start of the season against #23 SMU and made it count.

• After the Mustangs scored the match's first goal in the 13th minute, Ampadu equalized the match 10 minutes later. He took a pass from freshman Simon Enstrom and sent a cross near the goal line from the right side. The keeper got to it, but deflected it into the back of his own net to make it 1-1.
