Pair honored for performances last week
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Junior goalkeeper Thatcher Demko (men's hockey) and freshman Isabella Loosbrock (sailing) have been named Eagles of the Week.
Demko stopped all 30 Maine attempts this weekend in a pair of shutout wins, bringing his goals against average down to 0.67 while his save percentage rose to .974. Demko has stopped 221 of 227 shots faced this season. With that mark, Demko has surrendered only six goals through nine games while posting the same number of shutouts.
Loosbrook finished third overall out of 18 boats in the 2015 Women's Singlehanded National Championship Regatta. She finished with a total of 45 points, just 15 back from first place. Loosbrook's third-place finish caps a very successful fall season.
