BC Finishes Third and Fourth in Respective Races Sunday

Varsity 4+ "A" boat take third at Princeton 3-Mile Chase
FINAL RESULTS
PRINCETON, N.J. - The Boston College women's rowing team picked up third and fourth place finishes in the Varsity Four and Freshman Eight races at the Princeton 3-Mile Chase on Sunday.
Boston College also placed 20th and 21st in their two additional races to round out the teams performance on the Lake Carnegie course.
In the Varsity 4+ Final, the Boston College "A" boat finished with a time of 17:16.717, 30 seconds behind the winning boat from host Princeton. Earning bronze for the Eagles were Coxswain: Kylie Hasegawa (Coxswain), Makenzy Brown (Stroke), Grace Grunau, Caitlin Yaccarino and Megan Carney (Bow).
Boston College placed fourth in the Women's Novice 8+ Final with a time of 16:39.150, behind only Boston University Lightweights, Princeton and Navy. The Eagles time was less than 12 seconds behind the front runner Terrier boat. Competing for the Eagles in the Novice 8+ Final were Lauren Hansford (Coxswain), Meaghan McDonald (Stroke), Katherine DeVlieger, Madison Cann, Jessica Zettlemoyer, Grace Brzozowski, Jillian Raplee, Elizabeth Barrett and Paige Vignone (Bow).
The Maroon and Gold's Women's 4+ "B" boat placed 21 of 30 teams to finish, crossing with a time of 18:41.568. Competing in the "B" boat for the Eagles were Coxswain: Erika Charnley (Cowswain), Michaela Jaffe (Stroke), Haley Clarke, Amanda Jenkins and Catherine Goldberg (Bow).
Boston College's final boat to compete in the Princeton 3-Mile Chase was their Varisty 8+ boat, which placed 20 out of 65 competitiors, the largest event of the day. The Eagles time of 15:35.821 was less than a minute behind the first-place team from ACC foe Virginia. The lineup for the Varsity 8+ boat included Kylie Hasegawa (Coxswain), Makenzy Brown (Stroke), Megan Carney, Haley Clarke, Grace Grunau, Catherine Goldberg, Caroline Henry, Caitlin Yaccarino and Michaela Jaffe (Bow).
BC will be back in action on Sunday, Nov. 8 when their frosh boats compete in the Green Monster Regatta, hosted by Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire.
