Eagles To Host Miami on Sunday

Eagles-Hurricanes Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Boston College women's soccer team will host Miami on Sunday, October 25 in the final regular season home game at the Newton Soccer Field. Admission is free and fans are reminded to arrive early as the BC program will honor the five seniors – Jana Jeffrey, Coco Woeltz, Madison Meehan, Lauren Bernard and Jillian Lutz – prior to the match.
Boston College is currently 10-6-1 overall and 4-3-1 with 13 points for sixth place in the ACC. BC has Miami and No. 1 Florida State left in regular season action. Miami is currently 5-10-0 overall and 2-6-0 for 11th place in the conference.
The Eagles lead the overall series against Miami, 9-3-1. Since the Eagles joined the ACC, BC is 5-2-2 against Miami. The two teams did not play last season but have played two overtime matches the in the last two meetings. In 2012, the two teams played to a 0-0 draw and in 2013 in Coral Gables, it was a 3-3 overtime match.

Junior McKenzie Meehan leads the ACC in goals scored (13) and points (13, 1 – 27 points), while junior Hayley Dowd is third in goals with nine and fifth in points with 19 … The Eagles RPI this week is at 41 … Fans remember the final game of the season is at Florida State on Nov. 1. It will air on ESPN3 at 3 p.m.
