
Eagles Host Fan Day on Saturday

Open practice begins at 9 a.m.

The 2015-16 Boston College women's basketball program invites all fans to attend Fan Day in Power Gym on Saturday, October 24. The day will include an open practice, scrimmage and a brief program featuring the Eagles players and coaches.
Fans can attend the open practice which starts at 9 a.m. and stay for the intra-squad scrimmage at 10 a.m. Coach Erik Johnson will address the fans following the scrimmage at approximately 11:30 a.m. Johnson will introduce the players and staff to the fans and take your questions. Also, the players will be available to talk and sign autographs.
This will be Coach Johnson and his staff's - associate head coach Yvonne Hawkins, assistant coach assistant coach Lisa Faulkner and Director of Operations Chris Brann - fourth season at Boston College. New assistant coach Tom Garrick, a native of Rhode Island, joined the staff this summer. He was an associate head coach at Vanderbilt prior to joining the Eagles program.
The team returns starters in senior guard Nicole Boudreau, junior guard Kelly Hughes, junior guard/forward Emily Daley, sophomore guard Ashley Kelsick and sophomore center Katie Quandt. Senior Alexa Coulombe, who serves as a team captain along with Boudreau, returns as well as sophomore guards Martina Mosetti and Rachel Gartner. It will also be the fans first chance to see red-shirt junior Kailey Edwards who transferred from Denver and red-shirt freshman Ella Awobajo. It will also be the fans first look at rookies - Stephanie Jones and Mariella Fasoula.
The Eagles will open up on Friday, November 13 as BC will travel to Providence for a 7 p.m. tilt. The home opener is on Sunday, Nov. 15 as the Eagles host Maine at 1 p.m.
Fans can check out the season ticket packages on the Eagles home page www.bceagles.com. The BC program also has a program for young fans to stay connected to the team. The Super Hooper Kids Club is for girls and boys from grades K-8. The cost is $35 and includes a membership card, which serves as a season ticket for all BC women's basketball home games, one adult season ticket, a t-shirt as well as an opportunity to be a ball kid at a home game.
