Chapel Hill, N.C- - The Eagles sent freshman hurler Taylor Peyton to the bump in game two of Saturday's double-header at North Carolina. Unfortunately, the Tar Heels countered with the ace of their staff, Sophomore Lisa Norris, who entered the game with a record of 17-6. Norris was masterful spinning a complete game shutout of the Eagles, as UNC won 1-0.
Peyton sparkled as well, despite the loss, allowing just four hits and two walks in six full innings.
UNC manufactured a run in the third inning for the only score of the game, and their defense held up behind Norris.
Britney Thompson ('07) had yet another good day at the plate for BC, stroking two more hits. The second loss of the day drops the Eagles to 1-10 on the season, and 0-2 in ACC play.
