Maine's efforts to force the third tie of the game with a third-period goal came up empty, and the Eagles pushed the margin to two goals with Gillis' second of the game at the 18:25 mark of the final period. BC sophomore Kristin Blundo put the Eagles up by three goals with her empty-netter with just 50 seconds remaining in the game.
