Minneapolis, Minn. - The Boston College men's cross country team finished 26th at this weekend's Roy Griak Invitational, hosted by the University of Minnesota. The meet was the squad's final tune-up before the New England Championships on October 10 at Franklin Park.
Junior Byron Gartrell was the top Eagle finisher, placing 61st in the field of 255 with a time of 25:23. Drew Bouchard was the second Boston College finisher at 104th, posting a time of 25:48. Joe Lesniak and Stephen Walsh crossed the finish line shoulder-to-shoulder, both finishing in 26:27, 173rd and 174th, respectively. Freshman Mark Alizzi rounded out the scorers for BC, finishing 179th with a time of 26:30.
