Volleyball was shut down offensively by Connecticut in a BIG EAST match up Sunday afternoon. The Eagles (17-10, 3-7) lost in three straight games to UConn (17-12, 4-6).
Alison Shepp put up the most numbers, with nine kills, two block solos and four block assists. Dorota Niemczewska had three block assists, and only made 7 six kills. Katie Andersen had a great day offensively and the junior libero made 17 digs. The Eagles did produce in front of the net, coming together for 20 block assists. UConn made its case and swept BC 30-19, 30-24, 30-18.
The Eagles will continue on the road next Friday and Saturday when they travel to New Jersey to take on BIG EAST New Jersey teams Seaton Hall and Rutgers.
