Women's Ice Hockey Defeats Brown, 3-1

PROVIDENCE - The Boston College women's ice hockey team captured a 3-1 win at Brown on Saturday afternoon to raise its season record to 3-1-0.
Heidi Seidewand put BC ahead 1-0 with a power-play goal. The goal was her second of the season. Alaina Clark assisted on the score.
Freshman Michelle Lombardi netted a shorthanded goal at 19:18 to double the BC lead. Lindsay Bazzone and co-captain Sarah Carlson picked up assists.
Brown cut the BC advantage in half just more than 11 minutes into the final period. Kristine McManus's shot found the back of the net, with defenseman Lindsay Glennon picking up an assist.
The Eagles answered a few minutes later with an unassisted goal from Kristin Blundo.
The Eagles return to the ice on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. when they host Yale at Kelley Rink.
