Seton Hall Defeats Volleyball In Three Straight

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Volleyball (17-11) dropped their first BIG EAST match of the weekend to Seton Hall (20-13) Saturday night in three straight games (30-25, 30-27, 30-27).
The Eagles, coming off a week's rest, combined for 55 kills and an attack of .252 against the Pirates. Dorota Niemczewska put out the biggest offensive effort for the Eagle squad. The freshman outside hitter had 14 kills, and one block assist. On defense Niemczewska had 11 digs.
Alison Shepp and Allison Anderson both had big nights. Shepp's 12 kills and two block assists kept Seton Hall just at bay, while Anderson had seven kills and 16 defensive digs.
The Eagles outscored SHU on the attack but had 22 offensive errors and 11 serving errors that led to the loss. Seton Hall combined for 12 block assists and six team blocks, compared to the Eagles total block assists and three team blocks.
Boston College will take the court for its final match on Sunday at Rutgers. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m.
