CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Boston College (7-7-2) junior Alaina Clark extended her point-scoring streak to five games despite a 6-2 Eagle loss to Brown University (6-6-3) on Tuesday night at Kelley Rink.
The Brown Bears dominated play, out-skating the Eagles and scoring two goals per frame. Karen Thatcher and Jessica Link scored twice for the Bears, while teammates Kim Insalaco and Courtney Johnson contributed one each.
Boston College came out of the second intermission down 4-0, but played persistently, picking up two goals in the third. While on the power play, assistant captain Genevieve Richardson fired a rocket past Brown goalie Pam Dreyer to put the Eagles on the board. Clark knocked the puck top-shelf for the Eagles' second tally eight minutes later, collecting her team-leading eighth goal this year and extending her individual point-scoring streak to five games.
Thia Connolly picked up the assist on both Boston College goals, bringing her season assist total to seven. Sophomore Lisa Davis made 35 saves in the Boston College goal.
Boston College will travel to Maine for two games against the Black Bears this weekend.
