Softball Shut Out In Second Day Of Aggie Invitational

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Boston College was shut out on the second day of the Aggie Invitational, getting ho-hit by Arkansas, then falling 9-0 to host Texas A&M.
In the first game, Lady Razorback pitcher Heather Schlichtman pitched a complete-game no-hitter as Arkansas defeated BC 4-0. Arkansas posted one run in the top of the third inning, then added three more runs in the top of the sixth for the victory. The Eagles had two base runners, one who reached on an error and one who reached on a walk.
In the second game, Texas A&M scored one run in the top of the third, and four each in the top of the fourth and fifth for the five-inning win. BC mustered two hits - by Jacqui Goodchild and Cara Blumfield - but was unable to bring in either.
With the pair of losses, the Eagles are 0-4 on the season. BC will wrap of the third day of the tournament with a final game against Utah on Sunday.
