Junior Kim Arbuckle gained a 6-2, 6-2 victory at fifth singles to lead Boston College to a 5-1 victory over host California-Santa Barbara (UCSB).
Sophomore Cynthia Tow won at first singles, while sophomore Kiren Fernando (third singles), junior Mercedes del Valle (fourth singles) and freshman Ruta Veitas (sixth singles) also won in straight sets. UCSB gained its lone victory at second singles.
The doubles matches were not played.
Boston College returns to action on Friday, March 12 against the University of Miami.
