Men's Basketball Falls to Georgetown, 84-67

WASHINGTON (AP) - Sophomore Shernard Long scored a career-high 30 points andGeorgetown overcame an early 11-point deficit for an 84-67 victory over BostonCollege on Saturday.
The win helped the Hoyas (14-11, 6-10 Big East) avoid their first losinghome record ever in the conference and raised their mark against Boston Collegeat home to 16-1 since the league started in 1979.
Boubacar Aw had 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Hoyas.
Boston College (13-15, 5-12), which lost for the fifth time in six games,was led by Antonio Granger's 24 points.
Boston College dominated play early, making nine of its first 12 shots intaking an 18-7 lead over the opening 8:27. However, Georgetown's pressuredefense began to take its toll on the Eagles.
The Hoyas forced 16 turnovers in the first half and took 19 more shots thanthe Eagles. Led by Long and Aw, who combined for 28 first-half points,Georgetown closed the half with a 34-15 run to take a 41-33 lead.
